opensTeam transforms the energy of the learning individual into common energy, much like a steam engine transforming the energy of the steam pressure into kinetic energy.
The application provides a technical platform which allows groups of students and lecturers to construct and arrange their individual and cooperative learning space. Both students and teachers should actively participate in the learning process.
For this purpose, students meet in virtual rooms and rearrange the semantic structure of the learning room by simply exchanging, arranging and annotating documents while communicating with each other.
opensTeam is an open source project. The decision for an open source approach is based on the conviction that the user may adopt the working environment to their own needs on a programme level. In addition, this idea is justified by the success of the operating system Linux.
opensTeam is an infrastructure for computer-based cooperative learning. Cooperation is a complement to individual learning, and represents an important part of the learning process. Through daily use, this strengthens the existing bonds between students.
